 Gallery Artists Back
Vladimir Cora
Born in 1951, in Acaponeta, Nayarit. Cora studied painting and sculpture in Tijuana and La Esmeralda in Mexico, D.F. His first exhibition took place in 1974 in Nayarit. Since that year and up to now, he has exhibited in many galleries and cultural centers in Mexico, among which are the Regional Museum, Nayarit; the Regional Institute of Fine Arts, Mazatlan; the Ex-Convento del Carmen, Guadalajara; the Museum of Modern Art, Culiacan and the HB Gallery, Mexico City. His art has also been shown in Palm Springs, California; Galerie d'Art International in San Diego, California; Havana, Cuba; Lima, Peru and Miami, Florida, among others.
His work is filled with primitive images of life and is full of vitality. We are very impressed with the Man and the Artist, spending endless hours to find and to build, all the time, new structures of colors and forms. The result is a special world, mysterious and appealing, where the beauty of the nature is predominant.
Cora is the creator of a super conscious symbolism and fantastic imagery. Through his unique creativity, faithfulness and talent, Cora is already in the pantheon of the great Mexican artists and he is internationally recognized. |
