Franco Vasconi

Born in Spigno-Alessandria, Italy in 1920. Vasconi lives and works in Milan.

Vasconi reconstructs the figuration as artistic object (once he has exhausted his non-representational experience). He gives substance to the shapes from the deep down visuals of the vision, and from fluorescent mists he consolidates romantic sleeves of "escapes", "rides", "touromachies", "sights of war", "exodus", "sea grounds". The paintings of Vasconi shall be read through the dynamics of the figures that often suggest mysterious illusions. In the language of Vasconi- the subject or theme of a painting is more important for what it suggest than what is describes. The structure is clear with plastic - dynamic grounding and indefinite cubo-futuristic resonances.

Vasconi opened his first exhibition in 1947 in Milan. Since that time, he has continued his shows in innumerable Galleries and Museums in Italy, Switzerland, France, Greece, South Africa, Germany, Spain, etc.
