 Represented Artists Back
Davide Biondi
Born in Pescara, Italy, Davide lives and works in Italy and the USA. He holds a degree as an "Art Master" from the Art Institute of Pescara and a "Master in Art" from the Art Academy of Bologna and Florence. For many years he worked at the Luigi Faugno Studio to learn the antique techniques of the great masters of the Middle Ages and Renaissance.
Biondi confirms the necessity to express emotions and freeze them on the canvas as photographic images inspired by everyday reality. His representations are immortalized through a pictorial concept influenced by the media, films, digital photography, television, and yet he engineers his work in an "old-fashioned" style with ideal pattern. Biondi uses archetypal figures and portraits to project the drama of loneliness, despair, tragedy, absence of serenity - the photographic image is part of his vocabulary. The characters are isolated; the inability to communicate is evident. He paints the human emotion.
