 Represented Artists Back
Luigi Faugno
Luigi Faugno was born in Avellino, Italy. He works and lives in Pescara, Italy. He is the artist son of an artist father, learning the techniques of paintings and sculpture working in the studio with his father. Faugno is considered an artist with outstanding experience as a painter and sculptor. His artistic research is insatiable. As a renowned master, for the "Jubilee Year" in 2003, the Vatican commissioned Faugno to paint a portrait of the Pope.
Faugno's work doesn't need to be illustrated or explained, his paintings express what is to be said very clearly, without misunderstanding. It might be said that even his still life paintings and the landscapes show an exuberant vitality expressed by the special vibrations of the color, even when it's only different tones of gray, or when it whispers its vibration in the atmosphere surrounding various elements. His goal is to build images that are enhanced in volume offering you the illusion of tridimensionality by only the use of contrast and color.
