 Represented Artists Back
Nicolas Kilmer
Born in Virginia in 1941, Nicholas Kilmer lives and works in both Cambridge, Massachusetts and Normady, France.
Kilmer, formally Dean of the Swain School of Design in New Bedford, MA, is represented in numerous Private Collections, as well as in such Corporate Collections as First Bank of Boston and Bristol Community College. His works have been exhibited at the Berry Hill and the Jensen Galleries in New York, Virginia Lynch in Rhode Island and most recently, at MPG in Boston, MA. He has given one-man exhibitions at the Fayetteville Museum of Art (1982), as well as the Telfair Museum (1988).
Often times, in his oils, we can find a celebration of the human figure, and of the human presence in the landscape. Kilmer exults in accentuating observed color and bringing it, occasionally, into outrageous harmonies
